Native chat · end-to-end encrypted · zero ads

Discord,
but private and fast.

Hexis is a native chat app where the server physically can't read your messages, the app uses around 50 MB of RAM and under 3% CPU, and there are no ads or trackers anywhere. Same servers, channels, DMs, and voice rooms you're used to. Built so it doesn't fight your machine.

Why Hexis

Three things that should be table stakes.

Hexis isn't trying to reinvent group chat — just to ship the version of it your gut already expected: private, fast, and built for the long haul.

The server can't read your messages.

Hexis is end-to-end encrypted by architecture. The server routes encrypted blobs and has no keys — even if we wanted to read your chats, we couldn't. Not a privacy-policy promise. A property of the design.

Won't lag your game.

Native Rust binary. No Electron, no Chromium, no Node. Around 50 MB of RAM at idle, under 3% CPU when nothing's happening, sub-second cold start. Your laptop's fan stays quiet. Your frames belong to your game.

Built for the next ten years.

Quantum-safe encryption today, so the messages you send in 2026 stay private when quantum computers arrive. Modern protocols. No legacy baggage. Built so you don't have to migrate again when the security floor moves.

Switching from Discord?

Your muscle memory still works.

The whole point of cloning the daily flow is that switching shouldn't require relearning anything. Same patterns. Same shortcuts. Same "drag a screenshot in and hit enter."

Different
  • Server has no keys to your messages
  • App opens in under a second
  • Around 50 MB of RAM, not 500
  • Under 3% CPU at idle — won't lag your game
  • Voice is end-to-end encrypted, not just transport-layer
  • No ads, no trackers, no engagement bait
What we won't do

The business model is simple: you pay us.

That's it. There's no second business model where we make money off your data on the side. Most of what we're doing differently is what we're not doing.

×

No ads. Ever.

We're not an ad-supported app and we're never going to be.

×

No AI training on your chats.

We can't, even if we wanted to — we don't have the keys to read them.

×

No content scanning.

No automatic message review, no flagged-keyword harvesting, no inbox crawler.

×

No engagement-bait feeds.

Chat is chat. No algorithmic timeline, no notifications-as-a-product, no addictive scroll.

×

No selling your contact graph.

Who you talk to is your business. Not data we collect, package, or sell.

×

No Electron.

You shouldn't need 500 MB of RAM to send a thumbs-up.

Side by side

The boring features matter most.

Same daily-driver experience. Different relationship with your machine and your data.
